Red Roof On!! (Not to be confused with Red Roof Inn)

Roof is just about complete - we are diggin' the "cottage red!"  Both doors will be painted "cottage red" to set off the roof.

Windows are all in - doors are hung - plumbing roughed in.

Bump out is half-bath between floors. Transom window needs to be put in.  It will bring additional light for the stairwell.

We had a great time with Frank and Dana this weekend!   On Saturday, we spent some time with our builder, Pogie, picked out our kitchen and bath cabinets, picked out our counter tops and picked out our kitchen appliances to include the washer and dryer.  And if that wasn't enough, we squeezed in time to price shop and purchase the bedroom sets and of course, eat at our favorite restaurant, the Top Dog!
It was a great weekend!

Until the next posting, take care and talk to you all soon!

  1. The house looks amazing!!! I bet you guys (well mostly Kimmie [and Ron stop thinking about the money spent]) are so excited after picking out all the counter tops/cabinets/appliances...shoot I'm excited for you. Brenna and I went to an antique store recently and I found myself looking for stuff that would look good in your beach house...Lol I also kept calling it the 'House of Crabs.' We're both really excited and happy for you guys.

P.S. We were watching Shark Week on Discovery Channel this last week and saw the story of some guy getting bitten badly on Hatteras Island and thought 'shout out to your beach house...and be careful of sharks.'

Talk to you soon, and can't wait for more updates

  2. So, so excited for you two! Bet you can already feel how wonderful it will be to head over there and just RELAX!

I love the cottage red. Perfect for the sack of crabs. Did you all get t-shirts yet? Or anything else? I'm fishing for Christmas ideas...

    Love you both!
